Chaos Dwarfs Daemonforge

For my second commission I have painted a 3D-printed Chaos Dwarfs Daemonforge along with two Daemonsmiths in 10 mm scale from Lost Kingdom Miniatures. As requested, I paid particular attention to the molten metal to give the model a fiery and warm contrast to the cold cut stone, to which I added veins as if dark energies circulates through it. Initially I tried to achieve the glowing effect by blending standard acrylic colours, however I was displeased with the result, resembling more like mustard and ketchup. So I reworked it from a white base instead, adding colour with fluorescent paints which were much more vibrant. I’m also particularly pleased with the ancient gold finish for the decorative elements. These were acheived by using a base of P3’s Blighted Gold and highlighted with Retributor Armour and glints of silver.
